ABSTRACT

The major objective of this research project is to review and appraise the Federal  Government recapitalization policy as it affects the Nigerian Banking industry to evaluate the implication of an adequate capital base on the Nigerian banking industry and to proffer useful recommendations, which if applied can help in building a strong banking sector that can stand the test of time. In order to achieve this objective, the researcher source for primary data. The primary aim of this project is to highlight the impact of this policy on the performance of Nigeria Banks. The policy will help to regulate the banking sector in order to improve the National Economy. This research work is subdivided into chapters, chapter one deals with introduction in which its introduced the course of study. Chapter two concerns literature review which entails the perception of the authors works. Chapter three deals with the sources of data collection, chapter four deals with data presentation and analysis. The final chapter which is chapter five is solely on summary, conclusion and recommendation of the project work.
