ABSTRACT

 This project contains all the necessary processes needed in bringing to logical completion the preparation of priced bill of quantities. However, among other methods, I undertook the traditional method of preparing Bill of quantities such as the taking-off, squaring and abstracting. In reaching the climax of the project, I was able to estimate the cost of my proposed three bedroom bungalow to be N6,629,616.95  And also calculated for the relationship between several elements and the estimated cost of the building. The outcome of my findings were the percentage cost of substructure to be 20%, roof was 14% and internal and external wall 8% respectively. Also, I was able to use the materials and labour surveyed to prepare my rates for two selected items, among which the rate for concrete is N 20,351.00 and block work to be N 2, 317.00k.
