ABSTRACT
This project
works involves the preparation of detailed working drawings and bills of
Quantity in line with the requirement. It was conducted to determine the cost
implication of three
bedroom bungalow using the elemental method of preparing bill of quantity.
Market survey was conducted through which unit rate were established to price
the bill of quantity. The cost implication of the three bedroom bungalow was found
to be N8,917,717.92.
The percentage of superstructure concrete work to the total estimated cost is
9.81%, percentage of superstructure block work to the total estimated cost is 7.84%, the ratio of
superstructure concrete / block work to the total estimated cost is 1:5 and the cost per gross
floor area of the design is N151.40.
