Council from 2006 – 2016 and to bring light through the analysis, the
importance of checking the trend of Birth in Nasarawa L.G.C. the data
collected and presented for this study are on bar charts, analyzed using
“Time Series” and “Least Square” line to estimate the number of births
in Nasarawa L.G.C. in the future and also to analyzed using “T.Test” to
find out if there exist significant difference between the male and the
female birth in Nasarawa L.G.C. The result for the estimate of birth
(male and female) shows that there is increase in the birthrate.

CHAPTER ONE
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
There will be no continuation of life if
the reproduction class cannot reproduce their like. It is this
reproduction that give rise to life continuation in the world known as
birth.
Birth could be aid to moan born, coning
into the world or product of conception, and when we take of recorded
birth, we moan the total number of birth in one year per everyone
thousand person.
The trend of child birth in any setup
should be checked this is also important because when there is over
population, there will be exploitation of resources which in most
occasion bring about scarcity and this will mean a set back in the
economy.
Recorded birth is a long term determining
factors of demographic growth. A link is established between the
pattern of growth of the economy and the populations. It is also one of
the measurable manifestations of a society’s norms. It reflects social
economic ecological and cultural conditions.
Births varies and probably that birth will vary depends in these three reasons.
i) The current process of natural integration
ii) The growing urbanization
iii) Modifications in the geographical distribution of the population.

Nigeria population Bureau (2001) and
Nigeria fertility survey (2004/2005) the National Population Commission
(NPC) started its vital registration functions in 2003 as an extension
office (branch to the zonal office, Keffi).
The commission takes the task of
registering births, death, marriage, divorces, immigration etc and these
records are kept as health or vital records for statistics. Since then
the commission have been doing the registration and awarding
certificates to the registered persons.
To compute the reproductive record in
Nasarawa voters list from the independent national electoral commission
Nasarawa was used to collect an estimate number of women in Nasarawa
town.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Since birth is essential in life, there is need to check the record of reproduction among the women. This is so because the rate at which infants are born if not checked, there could be overpopulation with the number of sources that will meet up with the rising population or manpower in the society could be looking when there is a decline in the population.

This is so because the rate at which infants are born if not checked, there could be overpopulation with the number of sources that will meet up with the rising population or manpower in the society could be looking when there is a decline in the population.
The focus of this study is therefore,
what is the recorded birth of women at the reproductive age (15-44 year)
in Nasarawa local council (L.G.C) and what will be the total number of
births.
1.3 AIM
The aim of the study is to test for the significant difference between the male and the female in Nasarawa local government council and to determine the trend line for the number of female birth.

1.4 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The researcher’s work will be of great importance for the researcher, student, Nasarawa state, ministry of health and all other state holders. It will help to know if there is an increase or decrease in the number of birth and it will also create awareness to the Nasarawa L.G.C to find and the everlasting solution to what is causing the decrease or increase on birth (record) in Nasarawa local government council.

1.5 DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY
This protect work covers yearly information in birth record in Nasarawa local government council only for the year 2006-2016 inclusive. And also the statistical analysis is limited to only one variable (Recorded birth in Nasarawa L.G.C) because data on these variables are up to date.
